Minnesota Burners?
I'm curious if there are any Minnesota burners on here? I've looking at another career relocation offer (9th District) and after looking over the info and links on the Minnesota / Minneapolis Regionals page and signing up for the email list, I'm curious if there's any further resources out there? The relo packet I got from my work makes Minneapolis sound interesting enough but I'd like to learn more from an artistic / burner perspective to see if it would be a good match for my family and I. Personal recommendations always carry more weight with me and I don't want to rely on a bunch of corporate HR types or the state tourist / local chamber of commerce perspectives to make my decision.
If anyone has information they can share either as a post or via PM, I'd be very grateful for it. (Serious info only)
Thanks!

Minnesota here! I am new to Burning Man, but I had a chance to go there in 1994 or 1995, but missed out cause I was sick at the time. I am interested in any news or local people who venture out to Burning Man in possibly 2010 or 2011. A huge friend of the family, Dennis, showed me about this place and before he moved to California, I was interested in going to this place.
I hope to talk to a lot of people on here from my area if possible.

2 years behind but...
Another Minnesotan here. I'm a Burgin, hoping against hope to make it this year, but most likely will be burning come 2011.
I'd love to talk to Burners and other Burgins in the Twin Cities area!

i am from north dakota and i dont think theres many people from here going. this year will be my 4th year, and i am getting there no matter what! but this year i need to figure out how to get there, i just lost my traveling buddy in oct and i just totalled my car and my new one is not trustworthy on the road. i thought about flying to reno or las vegas, but i am stumped on what i would do with the water i need and all that good stuff after i get to reno. i know they have shuttles and if need be i will just do that, i just rather be a little better prepared. so if anyone has any advice or needs a traveling buddy, please let me know!!!! can't wait! i have to be there, it's been the most spiritual psychadelic freaked out time of my life.
dang, pinkie - You contact your regional? http://regionals.burningman.com/
BUMP BUMP Any 2011 MN Burners?
Anyone in MIN planning on going to the 2011 burn? I was really hoping to go this year, but last semester of college + no job + impending wedding = no Burning Man.
It'd be great to make contact with some Burners from the Twin Cities and surrounding areas! Maybe have some meet-ups? Anybody?

Gettin' ready.
There is playa dust all over the basement and garage from digging out the Burning man gear. Solar panel is operational on shitty old truck camper and I think we have enough booze to safely carry us through 9 days in the desert.
Let's get this show on the road!

...that, or it's just a camping trip. -EB
North Dakota burner . ..
Not quite Minnesota, but we are close and do plan to go 2011, and every year thereafter. Carpools/caravans would make the journey much more fun. (Until recently I was a Sacramento Ca girl who had only a handful of hours to drive and was quite content to go it alone). [email protected]

Hi Chloeee,
Welcome to the board. Researching and learning about Burning Man is half the fun, so stick around and get to know the place. Are you near the Twin Cities?
Edit to add:
This might be a place to meet up with potential burners. I know a friend of mine who we go to the Burn with every year (He's originally from your neck of the woods) is talking about going to this again:

He did an installation a couple of years ago.
