Hello [;
they call me Elley or Starshine. I am 16 turning 17 right after 2011 burning man.
I have been dying to go to burning man since I was about 9 or 10 years old. My mom is an old hippie and I finally talked her into letting me go in 2011.
I am going with my best friend from Gujarat, India.

To make it to burning man I am getting any job that will take me and I am riding double the amount of horses that I ride for money.
I give children lessons on my fat white pony we call Lard. :] She'll gobble up any food left over.
Horses and music festivals pretty much make up my entire life..

Oh yeah, I raise Egyptian related Arabian horses and I do Egyptian belly dancing. I am a dubstep fantatic and I am constantly finding nifty ways to belly dance to it.
I am converting hindu? Maybe... Im still thinking about it. Meera has me pretty convinced.

Yes, if you are under 18, the friend must be over 21 and have a letter giving them guardianship.

Seriously, I don't make the rules, but I know the Gate folk enforce them. You're on here, saying you're underage and acting like that's just fine and no one cares. From the FAQ:

Q. How much is a ticket for my child?
A. Children 12 and under accompanied by a parent will be admitted for free. Children between 13-18 require full-price tickets. Children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 21 years of age. If you plan to bring a child, please read the Kids at Burning Man survival guide.

Yes, you are legally a child, no matter how savvy, responsible, experienced, yada yada yada you think you are. I am sure you can take care of this detail, but take care of it you must or miss the burn for another two years.

My mom is fine with it. And she actually does! I didn't stop to think about her friend that goes.
