You would probably be better off moving to Gerlach than Empire. USG is going to want to keep that property for when/if housing ever comes back. That will probably be about 40 years from now, after the boomers are done selling off their homes and moving into retirement places.
As they move out of their last homes, there is going to be a huge surplus of housing in this country. Another reason to raze any home older than 10 years when if it goes into foreclosure. The generation moving into housing is smaller than the generation moving out of it. We are going to have quite a surplus for quite a long time.

Oh goody gum drops, nobody took the best job there is, Commodore of the Empire Yacht Club
And as Commodore, I will oversee the construction of a brand spanking (heh heh) new club house that positively sparkles along the banks of the sprawling Frog Pond. The dress code will be strict as well with partial to full nudity required. However, sticky buns will get you half off on your membership.
Wozza, I can already picture Wednesday night round the can races

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Burning tract housing I'm cool with, but don't condemn every old house. I'm living in a 95 year old place these days, and this thing is bomb-proof. Not terribly well insulated, but I'm fixing that quite easily.geekster wrote:You would probably be better off moving to Gerlach than Empire. Gee, wonder what I wanna be?

Excessive use of fake-fur is at the top of my list. Anyone who looks like they came from a 1982 Haysi Fantayzee video but thinks they're cutting edge & modern is next.
