As far as your 'terrorists have nothing to gain from peace' comment - well, that's basically ignorant bullshit. Because the vast majority of the people you would refer to as terrorists want only a few things - their land, their freedom, and their lives. If there is a JUST peace, then they will gladly lay down their weapons, open a shop, drive a taxi. I'm sure there are a handful that are so jaded and so destroyed by occupation that they might not agree, but i have complete confidence to tell you that you are wrong.

the late Edward Said had a thing or two to say about Arafat. Mainly that he garnered power from the tension.

I personally wouldn't be surprised if the hooded Terriost in the video's are actually covert CIA agents, spreading propaganda that will incite and personalize the war to other nations causing them to become involved in the frey. I gotta tell you one thing though, I really hate to say it, but the Philipino one is starting to sound kinda funny. I mean I'm sorry the guy is gonna loose his head , so to speak ( that was a really bad pun, still funny though) but now his wife is gonna go to Iraq.

Amazingly enough, I also know the antiquated laws regarding weight versus potency created the environment for crack... cocaine in its raw state (coca leaves) just wouldn't be so attractive if the user had green teeth from chewing it... or no teeth from malnutrition...
