Fabric Installation
Fabric Installation
So I was toying around with the idea of bringing out a large scale fabric installation but I don't know exactly how I will secure it yet. I was wondering if anyone has experience with securing any type of flag or banner on playa to hold up in the high winds. Grommets and U-bolts on rebar or sign posts? It will be a spandex material with a heavy nylon or duck cloth border, so it won't tear easily. Any suggestions would be great!

You should consider cutting little holes into it so it doesn't act as much like a sail.
I've got no ideas on the tieing down part, though.

ah, your signature fabric.
You should talk to the maze people from Ann Arbor. I'll dig up their emails for you.
So, 60 inches wide per piece, but how tall and long? 6 feet tall? 30 feet long? Is the top of the hallway open? Questions...questions. You know how to get ahold of me if you'd rather take it offline.

It's going to be alright.
