Nice try, Eric, but the Gay community didn't just show up yesterday. It has been around for ages, quite literally. Nor can it be said to be powerless, given how much money it has at its disposal, and has had for some time.

If the Gay community ever cared about anybody other than itself, it has had more than an ample opportunity to let that concern show, and that's the point you'd trying to dodge. Your community wants to get consideration without being willing to give it, to have others rally to its side without ever expecting it to do the same in return.

It's a completely unreasonable demand, and it's high time that the rest of us learned to say no to you.

Faggots, and I use that word deliberately, aren't to be numbered among the oppressed, and haven't deserved to be for some time. They're mainly to be found among the oppressors, and as such, merit neither respect nor courtesy. Not that they've ever been noted for the latter, themselves.

For those who've forgotten, already: in this post, we can see Eric trying to argue that the Gay community should be able to refuse to show any concern for others, without the choice having any impact on the willingness of others to show concern for it.
