Yeah,,,, but do they know how to start a fire in the woods, change a tire on a motor vehicle or think about the consequences of their actions in pursuit of immediate gratification?
Knowledge is one thing and wisdom is another. Until appropriately applied to real-world scenario, knowledge has no meaning. Learning to do something without discovering why, or how it functions and the basic understanding of cause and affect is nothing more than mechanization of humanity.
My point is,,,, are we really any smarter today with all this information at our fingertips than we were centuries ago? Sure major construction projects took generations to complete. But many still stand today. We have a hard time getting thirty years out of a modern bridge without major overhauls.
When those electric gadgets have no juice and the batteries go dead,,,, does anyone honestly think our generation would survive better than our ancestors?
