My discomfort with the Rev. and Church of Stop Shopping is based on the stories someone camped near them told me that made it apparent that they hadn't previously been burners and that they didn't "get" burning man on certain levels. I'm reluctant to pass on details, because it's not my story. And I don't think it's resonable for all of you to just accept that I'm "right" without details. That's part of why I posited it as a hypothetical.
Does this mean that I think only seasoned burners (I like cumin and cayenne myself) should be subsidised in their large scale public art? Maybe.
iI suspect that like many things, if Larry wants it, the rest of us may not have recourse.

well - it is a "Church" after all, maybe they shouldn't use the word admission rather donation or titheIt has to do with the phrase "Church of Stop Shopping" followed by the $5 or $10 admission prices listed on their flyers.
I get your point though Ivy
I am a bit tied up at the moment...but if you leave your name and number.....

Noooo. Actually, that was the buttmunch I was trying not to give a free plug to. Nice try, and good luck with those reading comprehension skillz. You can practice a bit now by reading the rules here on advertising.orangepeelmoses wrote:eye think rob brezsny

(Or just read enough posts referring to "Home Despot" and "Mall Wart" to get an idea of how we try and dance around it.)
