Happy New Year!!!

Post by maryanimal » Sun Dec 26, 2010 10:33 pm

Can you believe another year has come and gone. I can! I have more grey hair then I remember! So what's everyone doing for New Years Eve/Day? Any good stories of New Year past...or any you're willing to share? And I'd love to know of any resolutions past and future you've kept or are making for the New Year coming?

I've got to learn how to drive again. And I don't do resolutions. I don't think they lead to change, just to further ingraining of the undesirable behavior.

My New Year starts as the man drops. The calendar new year is a welcome paid day off and a reminder to get ready for taxes. I also don't make resolutions. My reasoning is if I can't do it for myself normally at any other time then why pressure myself to do it at one time of the year. The time will come.

None the less.

Happy New Year! Have fun and be safe.

I'm working two clubs; which means getting drunk, making out with cute boys and, sort of as an afterthought, taking the pictures the clubs are expecting me to take.

Not a whole lot different from my normal nights out.

Happy New Year. My personal favorite thing about 2010 is this is the year I rediscovered and became obsessed with/dedicated to Burning Man and the brilliant, eccentric, diverse and above all INTERESTING community that surrounds it.

I love you all, even the one's I don't like so much. You've all contributed to my growth since landing here on ePlaya. Here's to an amazing 2011 and an even better 2011 Burn!

I'll be working new years eve but I'll be home at 6 pm. I'll be moving all week so I'm hoping to spend the first day of the new year in my new apartment. I ued to make resolutions but I don't anymore. I do want to lose some weight. (10 lbs) I'll just have to move my unathletic self a bit more. It'll be the first time in over 15 year since I was alone for new years. It'll be interesting!

Another new chapter is opening up in my life!

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

Well, I'll be spending New Year's Eve and part of New Year's Day at my brother's place. He's been hosting a New Year's party these past I-don't-know-how-many (maybe ten) years. This may or may not be his last year doing so (depending upon how he feels afterward.)

Well, I am planing on doing all sorts of things in 2011-- I don't know if I would call them "resolutions" or not. I am following a plan and have already completed steps on it without waiting for New Years (I quit the synthetic THC already, got signed up to have myself frozen when I die [I like the idea of giving death the finger!], I have the Earthship books and am looking in to starting a community of them, if feasible, around here). For 2011 I am going to officially start and complete the Transformation Challenge as a part of my plan (it will help get/keep me organized.)

So, I suppose my resolution is to keep moving forward.

Happy New Year!

So, does anyone skip NYE and go out on NYD and celebrate the eerie emptiness of the city streets?

My partner and I are going to a friend's house for dinner. Then I'm going to a wine and champaign tasting event/party at my friend's wine store and my partner is going to hit a bunch of parties more to his liking with the friends that hosted diner.

Happy New Year everybody!

Last year I had the beeper. This year I don't but somehow I got roped into being the designated driver. Soooo - the evening is limited to eating and dancing and two beers max.

Happy New Year!

I'll be ringing in the new year with my hubby over a few drinks and dinner.

This year has been hard for me, but I made it to burning man for the first time! One of the good times this year.

I believe next year is going to be a great one for me. After all the ups and downs, I'm on the right track!

Hey! Soon it will be only one year until 2012-- the end of the world (according to some [mis?]interpretations of the Mayan Calendar)!

Happy 2011 to all--even though I am not fond of odd years. I'm not sure why, but I never own odd year cars.
2012 is just 12 short months away! :D

There are just 720 days left until December 21, 2012--The End of the World.
With a definate date for this happening, it may be the perfect time to start making a positive mark on our society, before it's all over.

Also, it may a great idea to run all your credit cards up to the limit prior to December 2012.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011!

D---! I really chose the wrong year to try to get my finances in order! I just plain didn't put 2 and 2 together... (now where did I put all those credit card offers...? )

Happy New Year everybody. May your dreams be as real as as your mortgage, your friends as close as your underwear, your happiness surround you like the air, and your problems as far away as the Sun...
