"theCryptofishist" or...

Post by oneeyeddick » Tue Jan 04, 2011 5:07 pm

...is it "Fishy"?

I've often wondered. Is that her handle? Would only those idiots in Terminal Village use "Fishy" when talking about her? Should others use "Fishy"?

Inquiring minds need to know.

I call her fishy because I like her, however I hope I'm not being too familiar by using a possible nickname that only her closest friends use. I also like Ms.Fishy. It's very nice, yet not ostentatious.

LMFAO "Ms Fish" really???

I don't think so.

I like Fishy as a nick name...let's face it "theCryptofishist" has five syllables!

:) How can one come up with an appropriate nick name when one hasn't even met you? Plus, if you've never been to the playa, tradition holds that your playa name needs to be bestowed upon you there. That was how I got the playa name of "Elderberry". (That's three syllables.)

I just made my ears pop trying to say Elderberry with only 3 syllables.

I've just been wondering about the pronunciation and syllabic emphasis since I landed here.

In my head I say cryptAHfishist... But I heard a burner pronounce it CRYPTOfishist which just sounds awkward to me.

I was just teasing you jk! :D I know about the playa birth name! I think having a playa name given to me will be part of my rite of passage into the bosom of the BM family. It'll be interesting to see what it may be.

I let everyone else give me my first Playa Name, never did like it.

I gave myself this one..much better, and easier on the ears.
