Here's one (with a caveat): Obama swore he wouldn't extend the Bush era tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, both before getting elected & since taking office. When he did it in late Dec I screamed. Loudly.

Here's the caveat: if he hadn't the Start Treaty wouldn't have passed, DADT wouldn't have been repealed, the Defense Authorization bill wouldn't have passed, unemployment insurance wouldn't have been extended.......

So Obama unquestioningly broke a pledge he had made, which, in black & white, means he lied.

In "gray" he got the most productive lame duck session ever out of it (or at least since the Republicans Impeached Bill Clinton during a lame duck session)

aren't there a bunch of those promises he made?
troop withdrawal time lines,
most "open/transparent" administration ever
yada, yada.

The thing is, they all make promises, to get elected
They all break most of said promises, and, IMHO, never meant to keep them anyway.

all we're doing, is looking at the wooden nickel, on edge.

Or promises he never realized he could keep! The right is playing a self destructive game with him...that doesnt really help the left either. Im amazed at the amount of anger, generated by Obamas win! Im more inclined to think this country is more racist than it thinks. IMHO.. Obama is..intelligent! as much as Reps hate intellectuals....BUT hes better than a two term Moron!
anything worth doing is worth overdoing..

If that's all you got, I can still stand by what I said. Doesn't come close, by your own admission.

For the record, I wasn't happy with that compromise either, but you can't argue the outcome.
