When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

And now 2 million fish dead: 2 Million Dead Fish
IIRC I read the first bird deaths (5000 of the sucka's?) were from fireworks on new years eve? Really? Then why don't we have massive kill,s every forth of july or when the man burns?

Because, there's not always a ginormous flock of birds flying right above it.Sail Man wrote:Then why don't we have massive kill,s every forth of july or when the man burns?

I'm sorry. I thought I was being skeptical. I didn't check into how well documented this was. Although I did wonder why birds were flying at night...

I was thinking the same thing...birds don't fly at night accept owls. I think the aliens are doing the "put the cage of birds out and if they die something's wrong with the air" experiment.theCryptofishist wrote:I'm sorry. I thought I was being skeptical. Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Here is what happens:
You have a bird kill someplace.
Every journalist in the world sets their Lexis Nexis filters to search for bird/fish kills.
Every time one happens for the next 6 months you hear about each one and it makes it seem like there are more than usual. Same thing happens with shark bites. Remember "shark bite summer" when that is all we heard about yet the actual number of shark bits was below normal?
Same thing here. Though we do have temperatures colder than we have had in a few centuries in many places so there are going to be some fish kills. The bird kills will soon turn to mass poisonings of pigeons as people attempt to punk the media and freak people out.

yeah.........then someone would write a myth, and, it'd become fact when told enough, then some goof ball in the desert would put them all in a book and they'd crucify some dude over it, and then, and then, and then...........oneeyeddick wrote:Who knows what is causing it, but one thing that is for sure is that 3000 years ago some sacrifices would have been in order to appease our angry God's wrath.
