Fuck...Starving don't sound like much fun either. Have to admit that I have been eating a lot more fucking pre-packaged processed crap lately. Don't really get much oppertunity to do my own cooking lately.

Fuck-- maybe the burning pain in the tendons of my hands and elsewhere is from something I have been eating?!!? I have been thinking it is either arthritis or overuse. Maybe I should try eliminating different foods and additives, too.

In an effort to improve my mood, I've put in for a transfer for a day shift job in Housing. It will fuck up my schedule in that I won't be able to take vacation when Burning Man is going on, but I won't be able to afford to go for the foreseeable future anyway, and at maybe my mood will improve when I stop trying to sleep when it is light out.

And another FUCK just on general principles!

Yesterday I received an email from my brother-in-law in the Netherlands telling me the dates and flights he plans to book for coming over for Burningman. Today I receive an email saying he can't come.

His wife, my wife's sister, has Lupus and is semi bed ridden and when up, is in a wheelchair. Hans was focused so much on Burningman that he had completely forgotten about the fact that their son had moved out this year and that noone would be home to provide care while he was gone. The only good news was that he came to the realization before he bought the plane tickets and I bought the Burningman tickets. Fuck!
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

That was one of the options but she said no. We have a number of trips planned already for this year and she didn't want to make another flight.

Fuck geo, my cousin has RA plus Lupus and she's in a lot of pain also. I hope your BIL gets some help whether he goes to BM or stays home. Take it from someone who knows first hand, being the only caregiver for a loved one is extremely hard. You lose you separate sense of self, plus many other things an individual needs to maintain some sanity really.

Gabriel Zimmerman, one of the people murdered in Tucson on Saturday was a friend of someone I'm close to.

Right now everything is fucked, and we're doing everything we can to support her.

It's weird having a tragedy a state away affect you, and suddenly everything seems really pointless.

I just read about the shootings, Eric. I'm sorry to hear that they happened at all, more so that they affected you.

I'm really sick of the violence that's crept into our country's politics-- the "pump up the vitriol until someone snaps and kills one of our opponents" tactics. I'm ashamed that the USA has degenerated to such a level-- that the "the Government is the Problem, the Liberals are Evil" strategy keeps being used over and over again until the veneer of civilization cracks and the true corruption seeps through and they mayhem kills and injures people, nearly always innocent. She's doing better, but it's going to take a long time before she feels remotely "normal" again. We've been asked not to use her name, she doesn't want to become the "local connection" on the news.

For years the Arizona State Legislature has been cutting back on mental health treatment funding...now, sadly innocents have to pay the price for such "thrift."

If nothing else, maybe...just maybe...the State Legislature will loosen the purse strings on funding mental health treatment now...

Right...sure they will...
