Hey hey hey from Guam, USA!
After a couple of years of massive changes and growth, I decided late last year that the next great adventure to be had was Burning Man 2011.
Less than a month later, a very good friend of mine posts on Facebook that he has tickets for the event. A phonecall later in the evening confirmed that one of them was for me.
Thoughts become things.
Now I really have to go.
Yay!

I know that those are wrong, but I don't know what the right one is.
So freespirit, what do you think of the coming marine invasion?

Wikipedia says: "Guamanian" but I'm not sure that's what the people in our Pacific Islands office use.
Wikipedia also says: Two aspects of Chamorro culture that withstood time are chenchule' and inafa'maolek. Chenchule' is the intricate system of reciprocity at the heart of Chamorro society. It is rooted in the core value of inafa'maolek. Historian Lawrence Cunningham in 1992 wrote, "In a Chamorro sense, the land and its produce belong to everyone. Inafa'maolek, or interdependence, is the key, or central value, in Chamorro culture ... Inafa'maolek depends on a spirit of cooperation and sharing. This is the armature, or core, that everything in Chamorro culture revolves around. It is a powerful concern for mutuality rather than individualism and private property rights."
Maybe Larry will follow freespirit around hoping for tips.

Guamanian is correct.
The indigenous people are called Chamorro, but since Guam is such a melting pot, Guamanian is more appropriate.
Inafa'maolek is core to the locals and Guam is one of the friendliest places I've ever been to, hence I call it home. You can walk into a fiesta here uninvited and leave full, drunk and with enough food for a few more meals. The people are that nice.
Plus the year round sunshine and the ocean makes for nice living conditions. Except when we get hit by supertyphoons.
Or invading marines.
Though I'm sure we'll be alright.
