I find it kind of sweet that he used film...

On the other hand, and it's hard to tell with the lighting, his face looks rather unsymmetrical, which is often pointed out as being someone with something...
I don't know if it's bad genetics or brain injury or what... But it's one of those things that we don't really like on an unconscious level.

Maybe. But the left side of his head is in more shadow than the right, and that smile is a bit off. But certainly it contributes to the impression that the axis of symmetry is slightly off true.
