Welcome to the eplaya!!!

I am positive there are other people from the UK, the official Burning Man regional group in the uk is at: http://regionals.burningman.com/eu_index.html I highly suggest attending some of their pre-burn functions, you will meet many like-minded burners and get some guidance for your virgin burn.

Read the survival guide, cover-to-cover till you have it memorized: http://www.burningman.com/preparation/e ... index.html BRC is a harsh mistress, and she will grind you down and spit you up given the chance. Proper preparation and a flexible attitude will go a long way towards an amazing Burning Man experience...

See ya on the playa!

Love Rice.

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

If you are in the London area then there are plenty of pre-burn events going on, get yourself signed up to the London's Burning and Nowhere lists.

If your freinds aren't ready to trek to the US, then there is also nowhere in Portugal which is a little less of a trek, however after attending Boom a couple of years back (also in Portugal) I found I spent the same amount getting there as I did to the burn & if it were me and could only attend one then Nevada is the place for me.

Oh, and this is nothing like Glasto, or ANY other festival you have EVER been to ... quite simply it's the most wonderful, life-changing experience you will ever have :D

Peas & welcome to eplaya!

I'm in the same boat - mates think i'm just plain weird and no one wants to go with me - bit freaked at going by myself 4 the 1st time but Crypto has been really good with the advice. Graidawg is also a 1st timer 4rm the UK like us - may be a silver lining here!

I always palnned to go on my own for the same reason But i'm not adverse to going in a group just means the whole community starts before we even get there.
