From Southeast Texas.. First time burner!

Post by Missiebeth » Thu Jan 20, 2011 9:01 pm

Hello all! My name is Missie! My boyfriend, myself and a group of friends are headed to burning man this year. We are a mixed group. About half of us are new burners. I am super excited. I feel like this will be the most profound experience of my life!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I'm in San Antonio and going for the first time. I think there is another person or two from here as well as other parts of Texas.

I'm keeping a neutral, open mind about going, but being the adventurous, make-it-up-as-I-go-along type, I'm sure it will be fun.

Hi Missiebeth. Welcome! I'm glad you have experienced burners to travel with--makes things a lot less intimidating.

Try to avoid expectations about the profundity of the event. It's quite possible to have a dreadful time, or a lot of fun with no particular epiphanies, or a life-changing experience. Or something in between. Not knowing is part of the fun. :)

Howdy,

What's our Texan to Canadian ratio these days?

Didn't we adjust our immigration quotas to keep out that riffraff and have more scandinavians and salvadorans instead?

Edited to add a letter. Again.
