I knew when I wrote it many people would presume different metaphors knowing that they would go off on tangents from my real intention. They might have related light = goodness and darkness = evil! That would be introspective of their own assertions of good/bad-dark/evil.
As for my badly formed sentences. I should be doing a rough draft on my word processor instead of doing it on the fly. I screw up my sentences because you are seeing left over fragments of my spontaneous edits. Sorry! They have been known to totally fuck up my intentions. Stuart- it's all derived from Hellenic Religion. we believe that Zeus and the gods came from the stars. The Sciencetology people came up with it later or perhaps copied it from us. What you read in the books about our Gods are derived from very old and limited sources that have survived the christian burnings, not what Hellenism had evolved to. We were New Age before New Age was hip- actually before 9,000bc is when the first Gods appeared like Zeus and Apollo finally overthrowing the older Titan worshipers around 3-2,000bc.
And I don't hate christians, I just want them to know what the truth is of their past so they can move on and accept the ethnic religions of our and their ancestors as not some evil pagan god worshipers. No one got down on their practice until they became some religeous terrorist group (much like the caliphates of Islam and El Qaeda) in the 1st century and started their burnings. We would never do to them what they did to us. It is not our way. Intelligence, understanding, rationalizations and control of emotions like anger and hate, forming the perfect hero, Perseus, and to ascent (evolve) from those emotions like Heracles to be god like. Read the "Gods" thread there's a good summation there. But we are not New Age. We appreciation eastern, wiccan, jewish and other mysticisms but we don't believe in magic. Gods have their powers, but humans don't and are mortal beings. We cannot and aren't to be empowered with those powers because we are inferior to understand and use the powers wisely. Power corrupts and it corrupts fully. mystics want to change the weather without knowing that if you change the weather here what seems positive, it will effect somewhere else negatively. You know, I have people here thinking that I belong to a new age group, called Church Universal Triumvirate (CUT). I tell them I believe in Heracles and they think I believe in the Ascented Masters of CUT. You might have heard of them, Jesus, Gandi, Mohammed, Moses and more. Gee, I thought Jesus was already a God and therefore didn't need to be ascented, but that is not my religion.
We don't believe in Karma of what most people think that it is. After you die you don't take your bad vibes with you anymore then a mentally handicaped person takes his handicaped physiology with him. A Killer or even a Hitler is a product of their enviroment. Like Babies born with defects. Their soul's become pure and are reborn again perhaps as a one cell bacteria or a slug, but we may all be needed as a bacteria or a slug on a planet that we are needed to create life and its evolutionary forms. Scientology just rediscovered what we knew or thought in parallel-evolutionary formation of religion
We too are a wholistic religion. we were just doing it before christianity brought one the darkages.
