Portland newbie seeks a camp to share with
Our camp is full to capicity, and I still have one very excellent newbie who has decided to finally make the trek to BRC. I can vouch for her kindness, willing to seek new experiences, willing to lend a hand, pitch in, share cost, and be a great addition to your camp. We tried to bend our little rules and add one more....but that just led to a domino effect of others wanting to bring friends, and we already have a couple newbies that we want to make sure survive their first experience. With this said I would still love to see her out there. Is there anyone in the portland area that is seeking an extra campmate? Her name is Rayna and has her own supplies and vehicle to get there. She has stated that she will camp alone if needed, but we all know the first year out can be a lot and I would love to know that she is settled with a camp and jumping on in. Anyone seriously interested can email be off list and I will set it up so you can meet her. Thanks.

Dear Newby Camper
I am Boilermaker aka Tom W. at camp anonymous (12 step)I would imagine that you would be welcome here, of course we do have a couple requirements, sober, clean or the desire for that. We do have a good time, meetings 12:00/ 6:00/12:00/6:00. God never fucks up.

I am looking for an interesting,attractive(internally\externally)gal to share Burningman\? with. I am also looking for Pierce County and So. King County Burners who want to share and work on Burningman stuff. Also coordinate travel to and from.
Guns and Dope camp would be up for another member. We're at around 20 right now, but another would always be nice. Check out www.gunsanddope.com to check on our philosophy. With the AA camp, you now have two polarized viewpoints to choose from on the drug issue:)
We're laid back and a lot of fun. Oh, we're also based in Eugene...but that's pretty close to P-town.

Orphan Camp
I am going to make a dome tent and camp, and have room for some orphans, or strays. The specific theme and title is yet to be decided but will be about philopsophy, newbie adventures, simple and clean accomidations; and display and distribution of a new flag and book of the flag. The flag is pretty cool and about key principles of life and created by a friend. Anyway, looking for somewhat intellectual party people who are self sufficient.

Camp Scrub-a-Dub located in Gigsville for the second year still has room for a few more campers. We have a great group of people who would welcome a newbe or a slightly used burner. If interested contact Marcus for details. <[email protected]> or post on eplaya

Refugee camp
Disclaimer: Our camp comes from Sacramento, not Oregon. That on the table...
Our camp has room for several more. Similar to one of the previous posts, we don't yet have a theme so much as simply a clean and secure space for refugees from the elements. The current plan is 3-5 members arriving with us, with room and basic provisions for 20-30 more if needed.
No requirements except courtesy and perhaps shared cooking/setup. We will arrive tuesday night. An extra vehicle as a windbreak will also be nice!
We also have not yet decided where we will set up, so if proximity to the your friends camp is an issue we can try to build nearby as long as it isn't in one of the designated loud music areas or quiet camp.
PM me if you want to make arrangements.

What I don't understand is how a camp can be filled to capacity and have no room for one more person... I'm envisioning no walking space between dome tents; cars crumpelled togther to save space; Tents and RV's ready to burst, if one more person enters...
What I also don't understand is why there are more people from Eugene posting here than there are on the Eugene regional thread (I'm from Corvallis and have ben trying to connect with local burners).

I am also a portland newbie
Yup, finally after all these years, i've got the summer off for play. I live in Portland OR and don't yet have a ride down. I'm real flexible for departure and arrival times, and for returning. I've got food to share, money for gas, interesting stories to tell, and patience.
So i'm in need of a ride, and maybe a camp to hook into, but maybe i'll try to play it solo style. Is that a bad idea?
email me at [email protected] or call me at home 503-288-4470
