Mutant Vehicles the rest of the year.
I have a special truck that I assume someday would be reborn as a Mutant Vehicle. I live in Bishop CA if anybody want to participant on it resurection, as is I'm not motivated enough to think I need this big of a project as I enjoy riding around on my e-trike and no longer have a themecamp. Nor am I a mechanic beyond the basics.
The truck is a '75 Ford F-150 beater with a lumber rack. Runs but need some engine work as it leaks oil, new seals should do. What is special about this truck is that it runs on propane and has a 110gal tank in back that can be tapped for a 2500W gas generator I also have, or to use any other propane attachment. If I'm lucky enough to find one, could trade out the engine for a long life for many future years on the playa.
However if and when I get it out to the Playa I can't see taking it home. What is the best storage for Mutant Vehicles around Gerlach? Fuel won't spoil as it's propane. I drove it up once to the Green Man when gas was ~$4.50 and propane was $3 but now gas is slightly cheaper than propane. Could also gift it to the right party with a vision.

I haz a vision, I am done with my Toyota(10 years as MV also street legal)
I have plenty of storage space for it here in Reno, and can say that the propane tank will absolutely get a third use if you send her my way...

We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.

My vote is- Give it to One Eyed Dick! It will have an excellent second life of fame and flame. He is the man for the job and the vehicle seems perfect for what he needs.

Propane
Right now that truck is political prisoner of snow cone solar camp stored in Bishop. They have been storing for me and have been driving it about on their back forty and tell me the are going to mutant it...eventually. I need a negotiator. I don't know what we will do with it, perhap you can commodate the top half.

End of the road
Final outcome, I just signed over the pink-slip and threw in the 2.5K propane generator to boot, effectively gifting my Ford to this fellow burner. This saved me registration and insurance money I don't have to take it back on the street, and let's him do with what he wants. He's a good mechanic, Im not, and has this vehicle running about and can fix it up. This truck may never see the playa again, or so, but at least will live out it's green usefulness as a farm truck put out to pasture the rest of the year. With my luck gas prices with sky rocket again while propane prices remain flat as they did during the Green Man. My apology to Dick. Couldn't have played my cards better on this one. Moving on to my next uncompleted project.
