If you need a ride from Reno

Post by JezebelinHell » Thu Jul 15, 2004 2:37 am

Before posting, go to
http://www.blackrockburnerhostel.com

I participated in this last year, and will be again this year, and there were literally more people offering rides then people needing them. I wound up hanging out at the hostel for a solid four hours just waiting for someone who needed a ride. Oh, and Hagey's place is full of good vibes and great people. This is THE BEST way to rideshare.

CRISIS LOOMING at the Burner Hostel/Rideshare Project

Post by hageymon » Thu Jul 15, 2004 8:16 am

Uh oh... I SHOULD have asked Jezebell to keep the Rideshare Project a SECRET!

This is HAGEY, the nutcase who runs the Rideshare Project. Things are ALREADY getting out of control around here. The problem now is CROWD CONTROL and a volume of e-mail inquiries that would choke a frickin' Blue Whale. The Rideshare Project does NOT need any more publicity!

While it pleases me immensely that my projects have such a wonderful reputation, there is no way that I can possibly honor all requests for help unless I am willing to simply STAY HOME for the entire week of the Burn AND buy a much bigger house on a much larger piece of land.

FIVE HUNDRED people came through here last year, but I cannot handle a THOUSAND, for crying out loud!

If you might be needing a ride, Pease do NOT send me any mail until AFTER you have read the "URGENT UPDATE" on the Rideshare Page of my website, which I hope to posted by tonight (Thursday, July 15).

And please be aware that YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for making the right connections to get a lift BACK to Reno! This is strictly a RIDE OUT program.

SHOUTING OUT to all my friends, fans, family, campmates, and loyal customers: PLEASE do not whisper a WORD to anyone about the Rideshare Project or Burner Hostel until after you have read that update also!

IF you are someone willing to HELP with the Rideshare Project by giving someone a lift, lemme know that ANYTIME! Please print "HELP WITH RIDESHARE" on the subject line, give me your first AND last names, and give me as much information as you can about where you are coming from, WHEN you expect to be in Reno, if you are a Newbie or Veteran, if you have helped us BEFORE in 2002 or 2003, what type of vehicle you'll be driving, and how much room you might have, as well as your telephone number(s) and best time to call.

Thanks for your understanding and assistance.

Hagey Ridesharemeister.
