Theme Camp and Overseas Burners
Our camp,Club Verboten, has had the good fortune over the last 11 years to host an amazing assortment of overseas Burners. Most of them first time visitors to BRC and most of them great contributers to our camp.We are keenly aware that for most of our o/s friends this will be your first and probably, due to time distance and cash, last visit to BRC.We are set up so obligations are few and you can take in as much as you can while you can.
Rather than sending out info on the camp via IM,some of which are never received, we will this year try and describe what you will be signing up for in this post.
-First and foremost we are a revolutionary and socialist camp with our only mission being service to The Popular Masses. This is heroically achieved under the leadership and direction of experienced cadres fully trained in Suarezian Thought.
-We are a small camp with anywhere from 12-16 campers each year.We are recruiting early this year as I doubt we have too many open spots and would like to firm up as soon as possible
-We are a dance club/music camp that hosts themed parties(following our retro-avant garde formula)each night. Our parties are usually well attended and believe our reputation is solid for providing a unique Project experience.
-Our location will,Inshallah, be the same as last few years.4:30 and E.In our minds this is one of the best locations in BRC.We have frontage on a very vibrant street but far enough away to be relatively quiet at night.
-If arriving early and willing to help set up camp a coveted early entrance pass can be arranged.
-We do charge $75 and a bar contribution per camper. For that money you get a fair bit of value.
....Logistics smoothed as we are Reno based and transportation for you and your gear Reno-BRC.
...Your own bike again hauled to BRC for you.
...Trash removal and disposal.
...Use of.... The Peoples Tent, handy on hot and/or dusty days,Quiet Honda EU generator,Shade structure for campers, shower, well organized camp plan and infrastructure.
We also welcome potential 2011 BRC citizens from the US.If interested please let us know here or email clubverboten at aol dot com. thanks We look forward to seeing you all soon.

Major Krash......Truly,we appreciate your kind words.
Graidawg.........We appreciate your post. Please secure your ticket and get back to us.Through Edict No.263 we are forbidden to discuss any camp membership scenarios without the petitioner actually holding a ticket in their hands or at Will Call.
Simon........Thanks for the post.We have had a large number of UK campers over the years and all have made positive contributions. Most before Thursday it seems.Let us know about you and your plans here or at above email address.

The theme of BM this year is so close to my heart, as I have been going through some life changing events in the past 2 years, and Burning Man is part of that process for me.
I plan to fly to Reno and arrive on the saturday evening 27 august. I need to organise water and food and drink for the period there I guess, plus all the other stuff I will bring.
To be honest I do not know what I can expect but want to enjoy my time there without living totally as a desert rat...tios, ideas??

Start by reading the Survival Guide and the First Timer's Guide (both are available on the burningman.com website.) You can read these fora as well. Q&A, Tips and Tricks will be useful in preparation. the 2011 Art and Projects (or soemthing like that) and the 2011 Theme Camps will give you an idea of what other people are planning ot do there. General Discussion is sort of the hang out, or discuss things that aren't the burn subforum, and it's a good way to get to know other people on the board.

We regret that due to the work of certain saboteurs and wreckers important information was deleted from our first post.
"To take full advantage of our supply hauling and BRC lift service one must be ready to depart Reno on Friday the 26th of August.Other arrangements would be made for those arriving later. We make one stop for supplies at Pyramid Lake Rd.Wal-Mart on our way to BRC."
So Simon may want to indeed get in touch with Cheyenne if arriving Saturday.

I'm not the only french although the other one is half jamaican (that what he said)zorro sings wrote:If potential campers knew he was in our camp and French they may have second thoughts.Ca plan pour moi !!!
And there is no point in having a second thought, this camp is good, (in fact much more than that) just come and check it
worse scenario : you can't cope with frenc accent and you have to stay close to a dubstep ghettoblaster to avoid it

We welcome Comrade particle into our Brotherhood of Strugglers as we once again strive to build our Socialist Structure,Since 2000 we have hosted campers from all over the world but this will be the first we have had join us from Finland.
In an important communique from the President A'Vie,Comrade Lowz has been named as Chairman for the Standing Committee on European and African Recruitment. This is a great honor for a second year camper and we expect our quota of new campers to be filled rapidly through his unrelenting and tireless work for The Popular Masses and by taking full advantage of the Eternal Tools of The Suarez Principles that are always at his disposal.

Thank you Comrade.Of course The Booby Bar sets unreachable standards for generous hospitality so we are humbled by your endorsement.
We miss following your camps heroic progress and your always correct diktats on the TC board as,alas,Jean Clod was made a non-person.
