BRC & BM Virgin from Florida
Hello to all my new BM Family..This will be my 1st experience with BRC & BM. My wife is the driving force behind this journey I am truly trying to embrace it with an open mind & open arms. My wife and I are from NE Florida and are planning on renting an RV & driving in. We are both reading as much as we can to prepare, but I don't think any amount of reading will truly prepare us for this experience. We are open to meeting other burners from our area who may be interested in riding along & helping with the cost of fuel. I hope no one is offended by my user name..Just an idea I am working on for my Playa persona...I would love feedback from veteran burners about my plan to pass out snacks (i.e. ding-dongs, ho ho's & such). My concern is that the packaging will contribute to the moop & people will not care for it because of the trash they will be left with..Any thoughts? My name is Jeremy by the way..

Welcome!
Nothing wrong with passing out snacks. Have a drawstring trash bag or a bin with lid--maybe even labeled "wrappers only"--at the ready for anyone who needs to toss their wrapper. (For many, it is a habit to simply tote their wrapper back to their own camp. I likely would.)
You wont want to leave your trash front & center and unattended though, as a few dummies will try to stuff other things in there without your permission. You don't want to have to deal with someone else's surprise watermelon rinds, for example.
(Some kinds of wet garbage can be dried out in mesh bags, btw, before placing in the trash.)

Thanks for the support Mojo...Savannah, the trash bag is a great idea, very simple & I didn't even think of it..My wife was thinking of finding one of those things you tow behind your bike that parents put their kids in cheap online & putting a cooler in it & handing out cold water & fresh fruit..I think that may go over a lil better & more refreshing, but sometimes a ho ho or ding dong just hits the spot..haha..Hope to see you at "home"..Have a great week!

Cold drinks a great idea...done it myself. Careful what kinda fruit you gift, tho...melon or citrus rinds are not a good thing, they get tossed...and someone somehow always has to deal with the spoilage...seedless grapes would be cool!
Don't bore your friends with all your troubles. Tell your enemies instead, for they will delight in hearing about them.

Dragon, I was thinking of bottled water & maybe apples & oranges since we are from FL, but the seedless grape suggestion is great..Thanks!
Teo, I am honored to know you think we will fit it. I truly want to make the most of this adventure & great the most out of it I can. I love the idea you had, but I had more of a risque theme in mind..Not really what it would be described as, but my plan was to dress as a "Jesus" type character and asking people if they would like to try my ding dongs..I know a bit corny, but you have to find the humor in it. I told my wife I would be a fat baby Jesus pushin ding dongs & ho ho's..lol..I know some may be offended, but it's all about freedom of expression & to each their own, right..

Just be aware that some people won't take your gift--and really, that's okay. For instance, my husband would never take anything unless it was wrapped.

Crypto, I completely understand that method of thinking. Not matter how much you want to believe & see the best in people even in an environment such as BM you still don't know the person & have to be cautious. If I give away snacks they will be wrapped and if someone doesn't want the gift it's ok..I made the offer & it's the thought that counts..right..I hope you gave a great week!
