BRC weather patterns.........

Post by DVD Burner » Thu Jul 15, 2004 1:26 pm

I got this from another list and thought it had a place here hope it's useful:

The wind in the afternoon primarily blows from the southwest directly parrellel to 6 oclock. So from Greeters, through Center Camp, the Man and the Temple. If you get up on your vehicle and look for Gerlach just south of where the south end of the Granite Mountains hit the desert, that will be where the biggest winds come.
So set you vehicle/windblock at right angles to the line from Gerlach to you.

In the late evening/night winds sometimes come out of the Northeast or even North.

Or the East. Best to surround your tent with vehicles to help cut the wind. (sot of speak)

I still prefer the other response from that same thread....
What direction does the wind generally blow?

Typically, it blows from where you aren't to where you are.
