Using a scanner

I'm curious if it's legal to use a scanner in Nevada. I don't want to do anything illegal with the information, I just think it would be interesting to listen to LEO, BLM, Rangers, etc.

This would be particularly fun while waiting for the Man to burn, as it would be great to hear when it's actually gonna happen.

A scanner won't help you to hear waht the F.A.S.T. team is saying, although it might help you hear what the fuzz is up to( they are right behind you, moving in for the kill)

Fire Art Safety Team. (previously it was the Performance Safety Team).

When you get your T shirt, it will be on the front, so you won't forget it.

You may be able to get it on you scanner, but most of the frequencies out on the Playa are bounced off of a repeater tower. In the past when I was playing with my scanner, the LEO and other frequencies acted as duplex frequencies. Whether it truly is duplex, I don't know, but I could only hear one side of the conversation. That may be a function of the repeater.

That's too easy. For the Noobs on our team we print the shirts backwards and give them a mirror. If they withstand the serious amount of hazing for the first year, they're in.
