Say...I've come to realize many a thing since all my ragin' and bitter venom has come spewing forth into this sacred space; I might have been misguided this WHOLE time. (and also, I DID have a laser brain treatment at the San Francisco Decom)

Ya know kids, the way I look at people who don't burn the way I burn IS wrong. After all, the hardest core motherfukerz out there are the D.P.W. and they probably view me as some kinda jackass who's out there "ruining their good time man" and generally trashing their city. (or just scream "stoopid hippy" at me and shake a pipe clenching fist) Sooo... I'm gonna go out there next year and have the BEST spring break I can! With a difference, I'll get trashed with my bros, BUT I will try my hardest (in my stooper) to NOT leave my empties in the potties or on the ground!

I read this entire thread last night before bed, and when I slept I dreamt a raven-haired priestess whispered leave no trace as she handed me a fat lottery check upon receiving which I immediately knew what my gift could be, Ticket Refund Camp! And then everyone loved me and I became the Virgin Queen of Burning Man, and all the love lifted me up into the air where 7 nazi symbols were spinning on fire around the man's head and below a grand squelching of tires as 7 art cars did donuts on the desert; 7 seven-inch gnomes chased them around holding video cameras, and in the middle a giant pool of spooge with a large trout swimming lazy circles in it singing where have all the virgins gone; and about my head spun 7 women licking their backs, and the mariachi band played on....

What is the meaning of this? And please forgive my ignorance as I'm lower even than a newbie, I'm a nobie; I'm sure I'm asking this in the wrong place or something, but is it against the rules to be here since I haven't been there? And is it okay to hang out and read, as I all of a sudden felt like a gawker as I was reading this yesterday....I know I can't have an opinion on the event, but it's all so damn silly and interesting, this burning man thing, I'm dreaming about it now, and I just can't seem to help myself but be drawn here.

Though this thread is six years old, when I read the first post and some of the subsequent rebuttal, it reminded me of the current post about the $98,000.00 experience being sold on eBay. Some things seem to never change.

God, wish I had the setting to globally lock threads with no new responses in 24 months...And to limit the size of .gifs that people have to have in their signature line...so it has to load 40 times on one thread.
