i'm also a noob...

my ticket came in the mail yesterday...

i took a picture and put it on facebook. :oops:

and then (literally) did a little happy dance around my house. :oops:

mines at wil call because i am coming from the uk but I can't believe i have actually got my ticket confirmation i just want to tell like everyone! would be nice to actually see it before i get there though

how excited am i? well if 10 is night diving in shark ifested waters, then i would have to roll in chum and open an artery before jumping in to be half as excited, i just booked the holiday at work and i'm all excited again

I can't help you too much in that department. I bring a crapload of stuff and have no idea how to edit. Surely, there is a thread (or two) here from people that fly to Reno and how/what they pack vs what they buy when they land.

Major Mallet will be in Apok with flying colors.

I think it depends on whether someone flying in is camping with a group or not on what kinds of things they need. Our Japanese friends buy everything here (tents, bedding, cooking stuff, bikes) and recycle it on their way out. Other people might have the option of renting things or borrowing depending on their own circumstance.

okay latest update !!!!

I am still super excited - even not getting laid tonight wasn't THAT much of a let down as when i checked my email i had a message from a friend of my dads who lives in NEVADA!!! so i'm going to see if i can use this wonderfully friendly man to help get things ready! also flying helmets! flying goggles and gloves! did I mention he owns a gliding club?
this does make things super helpful and has stopped my omg how am i going to do this freakout
