Bad Driving Habits.. What are yours??

Last comment on the '98 540i,,,,, if you look it up on Edmunds.com, they state (at that time):

Sure there are other great cars out there in this price range; we just think that this one's the best. Good luck, safe driving, have fun; we're sure you'll love it.

Cars are a personal decision.
You don't pay attention to those reviews, do you?

I was very interested in a Baur bmw a few years ago.
If I could have found it later, I probably would have bought it.
Older series 5 I think.

You do know most of the bmws will run an american V8, don't you?
Adds a little pep.
Not uncommon in europe either.

I used to cringe every time I heard that stupid Beemer ad about how their cars make better drivers - it's a good thing, because a lot of those drivers apparently just got their bmw, or they believed the hype and turned into idiots ont he road. Not all, but a majority I noticed.

I miss my t-bird - '67 with a 390. Robin's Egg blue (the sky blue, not the seafoam blue). Got my first "serious" ticket in that, the same time CHP came out with mustangs with 302's and turbos. He was kind enough to write me for *only* 85... ;)

Followed it up with a Fury with a 383, running tuned open pipes. Until I got tired of fix-it tickets for noise. ;( But it was another quickie but goodie (Reno to SF in just under 3 hours)...

Best handling? My Mercedes, Followed closely by my early 71 superbeetle. Both were set up european style, not soggy american style, and I could haul butt in either of those cars. But both of those were slow...

If I had my druthers, I wouldl take any of them.

I usually discriminate against:

BMW drivers
Renault Espace drivers
Mercedes (new) driver
Range Rover drivers

and general fuckwits on the road...

We seem to have a problem with anything lexus around here and if it's a white one you're totally screwed. Worst. Drivers. Evah.

We used to have a purple LS1 Formula (only 26 made in that color). Too many boys in Japanese cars apparently couldn't tell the difference between a V6 firebird and a V8 formula. I wouldn't waste the gas on them. I thrashed a friend's porsche at a stoplight, if he knew how to drive it would have been a better run. =) I miss that car. Dallas to Houston in half the time! We sold it for a profit to someone in the northwest. It's a dedicated drag race car now.

BBsue, the bay next to me at the storage is full of early TBirds, so perfect I had to touch one the other day to see if it was steel.
They may be part of a set from near here that had one TBird and one Mustang from every year, all original.
Each year he bought another set.
My Bird is the aero body and I think it was the first california custom done, though a later radical one cost $250,000, also done by Fat Jack's.
Mine is very conservative by comparison.

Next time you want to get an interesting car, you should know that you can silence a car very well and keep the power up.
