Hearing low guteral sound about cars leaking on the playa. I had already figured in diepering my van. Now it has developed a drip. I cant afford to fix it right now. A installed cluch slave cost lots.

Any way I found for cheap 19x24 blue tarp at Big Lots. The plan is to pin it to the playa. Enough for the space the van covers. Then come up one side and the ends to make a wind block. I sleep in the van, the shelter will go on the lee side. Then cover the van with reflective.

Might as well start with the diepers now and see how many will go with it.

Watch out for those cheap blue tarps. They are designed to become moop after exposure to UV light. You're okay for the duration of the event, but a few more weeks and you're chasing blue easter grass across the playa.

This is where the billboard vinyls come in handy. Custom cuts with scissors, yet is designed to stand up under UV exposure for up to five years. Takes grommets well and sews with a sewing machine. Best of all, they're frequently free. Just look up your local outdoor advertiser and ask. Downside: they are 50' x 14' so you need room to work. And you have to use bleach water to rinse off the pigeon poop.
