Geocaching at Burning Man (BRC)
I'm gonna bring a bunch of my own travel bugs to release this year at BM!

I went through this argument with GC.com a couple of years ago. They will not publish an actual cache on the playa...as it's temporary and there is really no way to know the coords until you are out there, getting them loaded on GC.com while out there would be another challenge. They'll only approve event caches and even that was a battle. I think Jeremy Irish needs to attend!Martiansky wrote:![]()

Will the caches posted somewhere or will you have to look them up on the geocaching site beforehand?

I still think a GC theme camp could act as a central repository for coordinates, allowing me to hide a temporary cache somewhere @ _my_ camp or art installation, and then just post the lat/long at the geocaching theme camp.
