And there you are, running out of summer tossing out unready ideas left and right, tightening your grip on what must be done.

And then you take off a day to tend to your watermelon and firework needs.

I actually thought this thread would address preburn anxiety when all the shit you need to take to BM won't fit in your choice of transportation and you spend the month trying to figure out how to make your pile of shit smaller.

Thread drift it in that direction. If it's interesting I'm not likely to throw a hissy fit.

Fortunately, we have the routine so down pat the only thing we ever worry about is getting in early enough to set up the Yurts before the wind kicks up. (we haven't been all that lucky the last two years, and the anticipation is very disconcerting.)

I go JK style as well. Clean up last years stuff real good when I get home, pack it up neatly in hte totes, put on shelf. Add costume pieces and a few doo hickeys as found then pack up my BM kit and go the next year. Packing for BM takes me 20 minutes before, and 4-5 hours after each burn at home.

Woot!

Throwing a couple of apricots into the mix always seems to work for me.

The little u-haul trailer we rented last year was jammed closed when we arrived at the gate. I did have the pry bar and started to pry it open for the inspectors and, after a minute or so to get it about 6 inches, the guy said, ,,,,"nevermind,,,, whoever is in there is dead anyway!"
