I'm not sure why this would surprise me, but it sort of does. I have a hard enough time keeping track of names and faces here, socks are just way beyond my limited ability of understanding.Liz Estrada wrote:kisha,

and if you think i have an issue with wealth or wealthy people you REALLY have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.
selah.
But thanks for the heads up. It's totally mind boggling.

If that were the case for me, I'd be in envy of those with the fancy RVs and all the trappings of luxury. It's quite the opposite. I'm more in envy of the intelligent and motivated people who can pool their resources to build giant domes, interesting art, and just be able to make things generally more fun for themselves and people who wander by. Big money does not seem to have a direct correlation to that kind of experience. Nevertheless, and maybe out of curiosity, I'll take a quick peek through the fence at Ebay Camp just to check out how fancy it is with their hired bartenders, omelet bar workers, groundskeepers, and check out the helicopter.jkisha wrote:Oh please, it's a camping trip with art. some version of this has been said a few times- he's not my "problem" and I have no control anymore than you do with someone you may work with.as far as I see it he's Erics problem.
I've offered to help his clients get a better & deeper understanding of the event. What he does on here is his own business, just like it is for everyone else.
I wish as much as anyone that he would let this horse die, for whatever reasons he doesn't see it that way.

my dear Simon, I know you and your legions don't. I've seen it said by others as well and since we talked in PM I thought I would just clear it up on the board in general.Simon of the Playa wrote:by no means do i or any of my multips blame you for his indiscretions.

First, Eric is not a business partner and I am not "his" problem.
I am hiring him as a guide and I am allowing him to document this experience. I like Eric for he goes into this with an open mind.
I do not come in here and snark. At the beginning of the thread I had time to answer everyone's questions. Now, I poke my head in and out every few days and respond to the thread. I found the posting of the dead horse quite funny. And I responded to it in a jokingly manor. All of a sudden, it became a "lets get him'!" Am I dealing with adults or children here? Get over it.
I have a right to speak here like everyone else. If I find something amusing, I will point it out, and I will comment on it.
As for my name not being Kevin, come on....really? When did it change? I have never come in here being deceptive.

Simon, would you rather me have not ever come in here to the eplaya and not give you the opportunity to ask questions or would you prefer I put my business post on burningman.com like the other 50+ businesses and keep it "on the low"? Yes, it is a business...yes, I plan on making money.Simon of the Playa wrote:oh Really?sacramentogames wrote:Simon of the Playa wrote:yes eric, we know, the guilt by association thing here is totally wrong as you are simply trying to guide him towards understanding.

As for bumping threads, do you really think I respond to comments just to bump a thread?
foibles?... I knew coming into here I was under the microscope.
And yes, my name is Kevin. I have never once been deceptive. Would you like to do lunch, my treat?

Correct me if I'm wrong about this: On the Playa the general premise is to not FUCK UP others "Burn" (meaning the whole week).
So, if anyone engages in activities that mess's with SG "guest" then that person(s) is in fact breaking the "code" So, playing with SG on the board is fine(he seems to be holding his own) but I hope everyone once on the Playa will just go about enjoying the short time they have and forget about it....
By now just about everyone in the BMorg knows whats going on including the Rangers ect...(seen the various group email being passed around) Looks like it's time to find another scab to pick.....

With almost every other post in this thread getting huge amounts of scrutiny, I don't see how this one snuck in under the radar. So, I'll just note that many of us have found that it's not good for the health to take burning man too seriously, and maybe some of us even pity those who do.Parasitoid wrote:LOL.jkisha wrote:Oh please, it's a camping trip with art.
