What is a reasonable level of excitement?

All things outside of Burning Man.

I HAVE 4 DIFFERENT COSTUMES PLANNED OUT !!!!!!
That's not Sparkle Pony, that's style (well, unless they involve bikini's & fake fur leg warmers...)

I have full suits planned for every night each year, and they're dry cleaned before I go. Don't ever be afraid to dress like you want, as much as you want.

Daytime I wear maybe 2 or 3 different pants, one pair of shoes & switch out t-shirts; night-time is a whole different ball game (but I'm not wearing the wool suit the night of MnG this year, I got there late waiting for it to cool down enough to get the suit on)
I'm a pretty conservative dresser on the playa. No costumes for me, but I do usually bring an assortment of sarongs, hats, khakis, my full length fur, etc. and lots of clean underwear and socks.

However, last year, I forgot EVERYTHING except for the clothes I was wearing, my fur and the clothes I had bagged for leaving the playa. I thought John was packing my clothes, he thought I was. Anyway, long story short, had a great time, borrowed clothes from whoever was willing to lend and had a great time.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I'm having wonderful visions of your standing at a table covered in a map of BRC and a week's calendar and moving around tokens representing various clothing elements, planning your strategy.

Obviously, I watched too many WWII movies...
