Greetings - New burner from San Francisco - ISO... help?

Hello and greetings from the city of fog...

So this is my first year going to BM and I really want to do this right. Im looking for a Bay Area based theme camp to join. I have plenty of volunteer and event experience so I can definitely contribute in exchange for affiliation with some really kick ass folks to share a space with. I already looked at some of the theme camps posted but I would like to find something bay area based so that way I can get to know some of the people before-hand. I get along with 99% of people I meet... the rest are thieves, racists, tweakers or all around dick heads... occasionally right wing nut jobs.

My interests include: Music, comedy, food (I can cook!), and games amongst other things...

If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Hola Couga, welcome to our little slice of paradise off of the real playa. Let me see if I have this straight: Only 1% or so of the people you meet are, and I quote, "...thieves, racists, tweakers or all around dick heads...occasionally right wing nut jobs." You must not be trying very hard. Hand around with me and you'll get your fill of, well, not tweakers but perhaps everybody else who seems to be missing from your life.

You've just eliminated 99% of the people who attend this event...
