Anyone confused by new theme camp placement options?
This year's theme camp questionnaire has different options for requesting placement than in previous years. In the past, if you were interested in camping at say 7:30, you could request simply to be placed on 7:30 or in the 7:30 plaza or 7:30 keyhole. Now they have broken out 7:30 into 7:30 AVENUE and 7:30 STREETS . 7:30/Avenues seems obvious enough, you are asking to be placed on 7:30 avenue (just as always). But what does the very oddly named 7:30 Streets mean? Does that mean asking to be placed on the lettered streets A, B, C , D etc. adjacent to 7:30 (blocks between 7:00 and 8:00)? I'm guessing this is what it means but am surprised that they would offer that kind of granularity to placement (i.e choosing to be exactly on 7:30 versus just right off of it). Also its weirdly worded.
Any other ideas?

Change is good,,,,, right? It seemed pretty straight forward to me. And yes, I understood it to be the case as you stated. I presume the noisier and later you plan to operate, the closer to the esplanade you will be placed. You still have first, second and third choices. I thought the amount of frontage requested along with square footage according to population of the camp was interesting.
Overall, I thought it was much more user friendly with the checklist at the beginning which saved all the essay writing to fulfill mutual requirements.

The Avenues are the radial "clock reference" pathways leading outward from center. Streets are the lateral pathways which are named differently each year, usually A, B, C,,,,,Galaxo Magic wrote:Cheyenne wrote:Thats the British way of saying 'street'so what the heck is an AVENUE?However, I meant, what do the Theme Camp placers consider an Avenue to be....or not to be....that is my question.

I totally applied for the entire esplenada, I hope I get it seeing as this could possibly be my first year, depending on if my kickstarter projects get fully funded, sending me to Hawaii and the playa this year, so on the esplanada I plan to offer sex swings to Anyone willing to go through the ridicule of everyone watching , and I will be broadcasting in full HD to everyones iPhones within a two mile radius, is that enough how big is the burningman? I hear it's a city? Should I just wifi it out of hotspots set up around the coffee shops?
