Ok, I'm confused. I thought this thread was about cursing filthy. Dammit all to hell.

BTW: There are only 28 swear words in the English language, but 100's of subwords. Example: Fuck is one word, but underneath it is fucktard, fuckhead, fuckwit, fucker, etc.

Pillock? And I'm not sure why being a wrench is an insult. I seem to have a nodding acquaintance with the rest.

And, yes, it does make me smug.

I used to have a history teacher in 7th grade who routinely called us, his students, "a bunch of lollygaggers and dillydaffers."

How about this Shakespearean insult, "Thou varlet!"

A varlet is a vulgar base sort of person; a "knave" or "rapscallion" if you will.

I also learned this insult from watching "The Mighty Boosh"

"Piss off, you sleg!"

Urban dictionary defines "sleg" as "any non desirable material, for example bodily fluids, excrement or slimy goo-type jazz."
...but it seemed like such a good idea at the time...

Of course, American English has some real doozies from Yiddish. Unfortunately, we don't realize how obscene they actually are, since so few of us speak Yiddish...
