I feel your pain

Both my parents had bad arthritus & I think I got all of it out of 4 boys.

I have it in my neck my back & all over my body.

I use to take lots of pain med now I just deal with it.

I have similar symptons, although it's not isolated to just the arms, I had pains in my hams and the lower back at various points but the arms are a constant. I wake up with cotton mouth, and a congested nose (but both end with fluid in take and blowing my nose first thing in the morning). It's something systemic, I'm thinking a bacterial infection or something. I don't think it's lyme or lupus. Fibromyalgia? Dunno.

I had something for over a year.
Low level symptoms.
Some really bad days.
When I went to doctors, they couldn't find anything past the "noirmal" level, but I could tell.
No energy at all.
Spent a lot with no results.
Thought I was fucking dying.

After I had pneumonia with a massive dose of heavy drugs, it was gone.
Never was diagnosed.

There are a lot of cases of low level infections that are persistent these days.
I think that's what it was.
Maybe if you look for something like that?

I was very sick for a long time.
Then fine.
It's amazing how sick you can get and they can't find a problem.
Some told me it was psychological.
Last time a doctor told me that, I was bleeding to death slowly.

All doctors want to do anyway is open you up and fill you full of old bicycle parts.

The Celebrex I took for arthritis pain was raising my blood pressure. Working with elimination diet, I cut out nightshades. I've started taking powdered ginger in capsules (plus cumin and garlic, but the ginger is what works best). My pain levels are much decreased.

I was being checked for chronic fatigue, flu-like symptoms, swollen lymph nodes... it was fucking sodium benzoate in cheap and/or diet sodas. I cut it out and I feel a thousand percent better.

Not saying that is what is bothering you, food sensitivities are damn hard to pin down, and make a huge difference if you can identify them.

Fuck, I harp on that a fucking lot.

i hate fucking doctors. i had one dumbfuck tell kenman that i was obviously just drug seeking, nothing wrong. after years of checkups and suffering fired that fucker went to another doc and he found a bowling ball size fibroid in my uterus (plus some other smaller ones on ovaries etc). explained pain, cramps, back pain, what we will call "excessive" periods (trust me, leave it at that), pulling sensation on my guts. fucker. non-fucktard doc sent sono and after surgery pictures to original fucktard doc. i got to enclose a note. I think the contents of the note contained enough FUCK YOU's to be included in this thread.

if you aren't getting help from the fuckwad doctor you are seeing FIRE HIS FUCKING ASS and go see someone else. 15 years of un-necessary fucking pain.

Tamara, I hear that story all too often in my work, dickwad doc says 'oh it's just blah blah blah' for months/years and won't fucking LOOK to be sure. Fire that dickwad's ass ASAP. Of course some things take a while to really declare themselves. But last week I had a woman come in from another hospital, she'd been admitted there in her third trimester of pregnancy with back pain so bad she couldn't fucking walk, which she had been complaining about for months, feeling sick, not gaining weight properly and whoa, baby's not right so they did an emergency c-section and birthed him prematurely, and THEN they checked her back and found a whopping huge cancerous tumor in her chest, already spread all up & down her spine. Fuck.

Simon, you are well on your way. I tried one cigarette a couple weeks ago, after my last on Jan.5. It wasn't the relief from the moment I was hoping for and I had 4 drags then tossed it. You could say I started over and haven't had one since. But how I count it doesn't really matter since my resolve is good, and 4 puffs since the 5th of January is fucking awesome in my book. So nine days, and one,sounded like part of one cigarette, Fuckin' A keep at it and take it in stride.
