President Obama was visiting a primary school
and he visited one of the classes. They were in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asked the president if he would like to lead the discussion on the word 'tragedy'? So our illustrious president asked the class for an example of a 'tragedy'.

One little boy stood up and offered:
'If my best friend, who lives on a farm, is playing in the field and a tractor runs over him and kills him, would that be a tragedy?'

What part of UN resolution do you not get? I really hate, HATE how people like to twist and turn things to their advantage. We will never be able to have a discussion if we don't understand the words the same way. In your above quote Obama says "unilaterally" do you need me to explain what that means? Can you understand what he said and how this situation in Libya is not an undertaking of just the United States but of a group.

It seems to me that the US has obligations under UN agreements to perform what they call, peace keeping. And shooting the shit out of Libian air defences is all about keeping the peace.

I don't really agree with it all, but no war needs to be declared. I don't think congress has much to say over what the UN resolves to do.
