I’m in LA and I have an old 1989 classic caprice sedan that has been begging me to take apart and transform into a mutant vehicle. I have applied for a license for my design. I have plans involving creating full on space ship action. It’s a simple, yet fun and effective design. Then, behind the ship, I want to create a stage on a regular car trailer, then drive it around the playa. I have a dj, a band and a PA for the stage, and once there, I’ll invite anyone that could play an instrument to jump on and join in. I have the gear. I also want to give away egg shakers so anyone can join in and then walk away, making music wherever they go.

But, in the meantime, I have had a hell of a time finding space to work on it around LA – east or westside. I have needed the space to transform it, and of course, now the time… So, I’m calling out to the Black Rock Nation in LA. I am associated with a small camp (Yes! Camp) and this is my second year. I want to do something big. And this is a big request. This mutation is so beautiful and so close… it’s… just… out… of… reach. This is an invitation to all y’all. This is a call for help. To all the wonderful people around LA that want to work with a team on an art car: I need help. To anyone that has a car trailer I could borrow, rent or buy: I need a car trailer. To those that want to step out on the playa in a very fun art car with their own live funky soundtrack, attracting the masses, cruising the playa, having all sorts of playa folk join in…
