awite guv'nors, what's tricks?
We are bringing a Cockney Knees up show to the Burn this year all the way from London. Music hall, pearly kings, cheap gags, drag etc. will all feature along with so much audience participation you too will be believe you were born within earshot of the Bow Bells!!!
We are looking for things many: a piano/keyboard and a space to do this thing. Stage not necessary, just somewhere conducive to performance. Anyone who can help or make suggestions on these fronts please get in touch.
Most of all we are looking for fellow performers, musicians, comedians, singers, vaudville canes, costumes, and anyone who likes the sound of the show to drop us a line and be involved. We want a good load of "guest stars" as it were. Not necessary to be a Brit or even be a cockney - after all Dick Van Dyke played one of the most enduring cockneys around.

At the age of 37 she realised she'd found forever, as she roared along through Paris with the warm wind in her hair.

Eplaya's Piano Man is called Elliot. You can find him most easily in the Q & A, Tips and Tricks subforum in a thread called something like "School Bus, Long and Technical Post."
Space I'm less sure about. We used to have a stage in our village, but it's turned out to be more trouble than it's worth. You can try in the "Stages Seeking Artists" thread, but I would advise that that's not the only method you use.

You rang?
I may not be able to go to Burning Man at all this year, but now we have established contact. Pianos I have -- heavy ones -- all pleasantly out of tune.
Any chance youse guys are renting a Budget truck in S.F. so you could pick up a piano in Clearlake? I'd put it on real wheels. I'm a bit out of the way, but not terribly so.

Any room for a master magician? Where is this going to be?
I would recommend putting a stage next to the BRC Boardwalk. They've already got a Vaudeville environment on the Esplanade, but they can only sustain an ongoing show for a day or two. They have a bunch of little circus type tents with gag carnival stuff.
It sounds like you guys could pack the venue together. Great location, Esp and 7:00. I wish they had more of their cool layout on the site...
