Greetings and feliciations.
I am slowly learning what I may be approaching, hopefully, yet another event in my life, the meeting, greeting, and exchanging of the world, the universe, and other assorted interests.
I'm reading the newbi guides/survival guides/ etc.
Oddly, a simple question- or perhaps I haven't yet reached that part in my readings...still...
How do you find a place to park yourself on arrival. I understand its an enourmous/large/huge/vast/awe-inspiring, and other impressive verbages, still, any suggestions? Healer/story teller/psychic/pragmatist with the "usual" ability to fit in with most anyone, share work, help out, and snore on occasion.

The greeters will give you some idea of where you might park, but unless you are a member of a placed theme camp, you'll basically drive around till you see a possible spot, talk with the neighbors so you can be sure that it is available and that they are not lunitics and set up camp. Don't camp by the man (it'll get very hot in your tent on burn night) or in Thunderdome. The rest is just details.

Hello, Dichotomy Man. The map you'll receive when you come in will show where theme camps are situated for the most part, but you will also want to watch out for these little foot-high wire flags at the edge of the streets. Single flags are simple road boundaries, paired flags are theme camp areas. Might want to double-check that when you come in.
2010's map looked like this, with purple shaded areas being theme camps:

(The 2011 will change a bit, but the closer to the Esplanade, the harder it is to find space. This is okay by me, I don't like a lot of traffic, myself and prefer to camp on the middle or outer rings.)
Between the map, looking for flags, and talking to others, you can generally avoid problems.
