I had to cancel physical therapy for my arms because my leg decided to become even more fucked up- either a tearing or torn muscle in the calf or (very unlikely) a blood clot. I go in for a sonogram tomorrow morning, but am in a shitload of pain & can't walk. Once we get that resolved I have to deal with my knees, as they're rapidly becoming unusable (medial miniscus degeneration)

Luckily I have vicodin, but I'm trying to hold off taking them until I go to bed.

Worst fucking health year ever. Thank god for the insurance, or I would be taking the flying leap off a very pretty bridge...

FINALLY I got some great news from Japan that my friends are ok! But they have family that lost their home and are having to pick up and move elsewhere. At least they are alive....the rest is all material and can be replaced and rebuilt.

Considering all the fucked up news out of Japan good news is welcome news.

ok everybody go and check your fucking hot water heaters.......Mine started to fucking leak ( 8yr old house) I got lucky and saw a small amount of water but started looking into it and it seems like it's been leaking for weeks and weeks.. We are lucky here.. Our water heater is 2 feet from an outside wall.. The leak pan has a over flow tube out.. The pressure releife tube go's outside too.. I did add a earthquake belt last year. Don't want that fucking thing moving around the house in a shaker.

Was called out to a water damage repare.. The water heater had been in the basement under the stairs.. It had lonched throught he basement stairs, the second floor staies and the attice stairs. It stoped before the roof..

Dose any one ever check these thing..

We have one of those damn tankless water heaters hot COLD hot COLD augh sometimes I'd like to kick it but it is energy efficient I keep telling myself.

The fucking tankless don't have to do that.
It's just bad design or bad settings.
I think it might be helped with a conditioning tank.
If you use any pre-heating, make sure it's one that can deal with that.
Some can.

Good fucking news: sonogram tech said she didn't see any sign of a blood clot, though it's going to have to be verified by the doc.

Bad fucking news: she didn't see signs of muscle tearing either, which means its small & needs an MRI or CT scan; or it's not a muscle tear & it's going to take further research. The left calf is swollen up like a small balloon has been fucking implanted, and feels about the same.

Burning Man is definitely on the fucking back burner, so to speak. I can't get a job until I get my health back (or even when I'm doing fine, apparently), and until I get a job I can't afford to go. Last year I only made it on the kindness of others, doing that two years in a row starts to feel fucking leech-like.

And compared to the people of Japan I'm still in fine shape, so I'm trying to keep fucking perspective in my head.
