1st time burners/new camp would could really use...

We are all first time burners and putting our first camp together. We are looking for the following items to purchase, trade, or otherwise receive:

Carpeting/remainants
Old pedal surreys (quadracycle)...this is going out on a limb, but if you know of someone with one that needs repair or like, we'll take the lead
Cruisers/bikes (currently need 7)
Greenhouse covering for a geo-dome (or a good recommendation of where we can get it cheap)
The stands and rope used to form a line (like at a movies theater for example)
Flags...garden flags, fun flags, animal flags
Kites
Those little colorful windmill on a stick thingies (need about 20 or so)

We are located in SF and Sacramento. We have transportation and the means to pick (large) things up. Thank you

For carpet just head to the dumpsters at the various carpet selling houses/firms around town.There,on the right day, you will find as much remnant material as you can handle.Might even get matching colors.I get all my carpeting through this route.It's obviously free and quality is ususally good.Good luck on your requests as it is late in the game.

A note on bicycles - use junkers, and bring locks. The alkali desert dust is hard on them, and many get stolen.

another note on carpet - unroll it and shake it out before you head to the playa.

we had a bunch of leftover carpeting in our dome last year and the moop it produced was rediculous... I spent the first morning just picking up bits of nylon that could have been avoided if we'd unrolled it first.

or just used astroturf
