BM Virgin from NYC

Post by mimi7733 » Thu Mar 17, 2011 10:18 pm

Greetings Burners!

Im very interested in burning for the first time in 2011! It seems so right! So much change in my life the past 6 months...quick and radical..but good change!! Seems like "the signs are everywhere" for me lately... Ive been lead straight to people, places and things in such a manner since my 33rd BDay.. its almost surreal. This is clearly my next step!! And when I read of the 2011 theme... WOW!! Exactly where Im at in my journey... I feel like Ive been put through the wringer my entire 33 years on earth...but now I can finally understand why!! So many RITES OF PASSAGE!!

My only issue is, I dont think anyone in my life is really down for this...or ready for it...I feel Im existing in a different space than anyone around me at the moment. But, Im notorious for traveling solo and would trek across the country to meet up with a friendly group of Burners to experience this new Rite of Passage in my life!

If anyone would like to connect and possibly do this together... Then say hello! Perhaps we can help each other on this journey :D

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

No mattter where you come from, the journey begins at the Gate.

Everybody is prepare for this (it could happens at the corner of the street), the trick is : how far will you go ?

Hey Mimi!

If I had to wait for my immediate circle to be ready for the burn, I'd never get there. It means little. Sounds like you know your own mind. :)

Read every bit of the 2010 Survival Guide, if you haven't yet:

http://www.burningman.com/preparation/e ... index.html

The 2011 will be available soon enough.

Welcome!

I feel right at home!

I really want to pull this off!!

Still havent decided on whether I want to camp solo or join a camp...Ive been emailing a few camps to feel things out.. and have been reading the pros and cons...

If I had just one other person... Id camp alone I think... But I wont have time to purchase and pack everything once I land... it will be too much to do in one day... and wont have anyone to split car cost either...

Anyway, this is my year! Im very resourceful, super street smart, and have amazing survival instincts... but I will ALSO read and research this until Im blind lol...

Keep the tips coming! Thanks again!

A friend of mine in NYC goes to Burning Man.

I miss NYC and wish I never left, but if I were there I may not be able to go.

Welcome,

I know what you mean - I have been a square peg in a round hole for decades and now the stars are finally aligned for my journey home.

Counting down the days...
