Yellow Bike Ninjas
Yellow Bike Ninjas
Calling all yellow bike fans to deposit your yellow bikes at my camp so I can make a giant evolving sculpture of bikes, all which can be removed and riden away, but as a whole makes a giant piece of art, the more bikes the coolers it will be, I only need $4000 from kickstarter to get the idea going, so please support me in my vision of driving the kind and generous yellow bike guy insane

I am not planning on bringing any bikes, the bikes used will be actual yellow bikes that are gathered from BRC, then anyone can come by and pick up a bike, bikes coming bikes going, changing the aspect of the artistic pile of bikes constantly. If by Thursday your having problems finding yellow bikes, that's because us yellow bike ninjas have relocated them into a giant pile, so come on by and grab one.... Some might not like this idea, but my neighbors without bikes will love me..... Plus we have no malicious intent, all bikes will receive maintenance before being placed into the art pile, if your not into bikes we also have coolers

What, will you be "liberating" random coolers, too???AKDMAN wrote:I am not planning on bringing any bikes, the bikes used will be actual yellow bikes that are gathered from BRC, then anyone can come by and pick up a bike, bikes coming bikes going, changing the aspect of the artistic pile of bikes constantly. Not to burst your bubble, but gathering all the yellow bikes in one spot kinda defeats the purpose of the yellow bike program.
"I need a yellow bike to get across the city"
"Sorry, some guy has all of them at his camp across the city"
"Shit, can I borrow your bike to go get a yellow bike?"
"Hmmm, I guess,..."

We are the yellow bike ninjas, defeating the purpose of the yellow bikes just might be our goal, one could say, another might say nice peice of yellow bike art! Your coolers are safe, we will be providing those ourselves. We also will have a mutant ninja vehicle snatching up bikes and the people that need them, bringing them to our art peice while feeding them ninja shots so they don't kill us for hoarding the yellow bikes.... Some people just don't get art

Hmmm, I can see it now. Some hippy tries to climb the pile because he or she must have the bike at the very top. The pile shift's, hopelessly trapping said hippy amongst the pile of bikes. Caring burners provide said hippy on display with bacon and water to keep the pet nourished and a source of entertainment and amusement to fellow burners.

Excuse me Ma'am, your going to feel a small prick.

Wait a minute. Aren't you with the group that's setting up the Spenard Bar? If so this makes perfect sense. In my experience, Alaskans have a VERY different sense of humor that that of Americans. I fucking love Alaskans and plan on someday defecting and applying for assylum, either kind.
Question. Does the bike have to be yellow or green when stolen or will you accept them if they've been repainted. I frequent the seedy side of town(s) and gun down gangbangers for giggles. Then I rifle through their bloodstained clothing looking for cans of spray paint that managed to escape the hail of bullets from mah Glock. Yeah, I think it's ironic too. The little muthafucka's talk so tough and rap their little songs about Glocks but the truth is they seldom pack anything more than a Raven .25ACP or a Lorcin .22LR, bitches.
AND, their drugs are so stomped on that it's not uncommon to have to shoot 3-5 bangers in an evening just to get a good buzz going. Not that I'm complaining. I believe in the work ethic that built this great nation but ammunition gets expensive, especially when I can't recover ammo from the dead.
Ahh but I digress.
The idea sounds solid.
Roll wit it, yo.

I sometimes have trouble determining fact from fiction here on eplaya. I sure hope this idea is a joke, because as an art project, it sucks. Bet it could even get you kicked out of the event.

Me too. But I'd feel more comforted hearing the OP express that same sentiment.Minxy wrote:It's funny if it's a joke. I find humor in the concept but only as a joke, not in reality.

If your whole Idea is to have people bring the bikes to you and just pile them up in your camp and you don't intend to bring any yellow bikes of your own what the hell is the $4000 kickstarter for?
The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

do you think yellow ninja costumes are free? i bet they cost at least $537.42 each and to get a truely monumental yellow ninja bike art going you would need to ninja at least 12 bikes straight away- hey what if it was a mobile art project?
