Weather on the Playa

Post by Karma » Thu Jul 22, 2004 3:55 am

Anyone know how much rain fall the Playa got so far this year ?
I know I could just look it up on weather sites, but I would'nt know if 2" or 15" was alot or a little for out there.

DVD Burner,
I know what the weather is like on the Playa once you're there.
I was just curious as to how much rainfall they had out there this last year as it pertains to how hard packed the Playa surface might be in BRC this year.
I just dont know how much rainfall it takes thru the winter to do that.

Thanks for responding though.

In the evening, it will be partially dark with increasing darkness...

Depends on frost heave as much as the rain, actually.

Yeah, I was invited to a 'frost heave' once, but it wasn't quite what I expected. There were some cool chicks there, though, and the beer wansn't too bad... but the DJ sucked.

I hear Wodin and Loki used to throw great frost heaves with the frost giants.

Was on The Playa a couple of weeks ago and it appears there wasn't much of a freeze this year. Cause it is a lookin mighty crumbly. So expect lots, and lots, and lots of precious playa dust blowing around. Some sections of the city may develop giant dunes, enveloping all in its path. Enjoy!
