I think he's just concerned about a third party ride sharing site he was directed to via a spam email he got. All of the info he posted was domain registration info readily available on the Internet.

Yep... I used my mod powers to edit his post to get rid of the name of the person, but it seems as legit a website as any other rideshare gig.

Good thing I don't use *my* cellphone number on my website, as it sources from a "small Eurasian country"... that would REALLY raise some eyebrows!!!

Not to start a huge discussion on this in the spam thread, but as a point of clarification. Domain Name Registry information is not the same as someone hunting up your personal information on the web and posting it here.

That information is provided openly on the internet in association with the domain name for just such purposes as it was used for in this instance and tacit permission is given when registering a domain name. I can't speak directly to the TOS for this site, but if it allowed one to post a domain name URL on the site, it sould also be within the terms of the TOS to post the owner verification for that domain name as well. It is NOT personal information in this instance.
