When the only tool you got is a hammer, every problem looks like a hippie.

Super spooky song about those that walk the night
Looking for love that is not so right.

Look through eyes?
Virgins in disguise?
Sacrifice of what was.
Will be turned around.
Until they see the sun.
And my friends all have some fun!

Who is sitting in that chair?
Who is looking in that mirror?
Who is he singing about?

My friend Tars says "He singing about losers." My friend is right. Gila agree's "The Geek Swings" from the trees. My whole camp LOVES this song.

My Camp name is Coup de Fu

Shock the Karma
Yes it is really me.

He was an even better friend, mentor, person, than he was a musician. And i'm all in on his musicality.

I don't know why but I've been missing him so much more this past week.

Blown away by Robbie Robertson's "How To Become Clarivoyant", lyrically, sonically, harmonies, it really took me by surprise, very soulful.
I played the entire CD, twice. YMMV

The Guords! a fun festival band... I didn't see them, rather heard them live, they had a late night tent gig, needed another ticket... so I listened on my radio and taped them. funny way to experience a live event, but I played the dickens out of that tape. wonder where it is now? They did a riotous long jam on wildwood flower of all things.

Her world was moving she was right there with it and she WAS.
this was my mantra in early sobriety, it slowly became a simple I AM.
I am was everything. I would like to hug everyone in the band for helping save my soul 20 something years ago.

At that time in my life, I was looking for some bare music, straight on stuff. A co-worker suggested some basic American music, and to try to appreciate the unadorned style of it, and to lose some of my prejudices against it. He lent me a tape of Iris Dement, a sound I could have easily dismissed. Here's my early sobriety anthem. The video here is not synched.

I don't consider Dement basic music.
She does make it seem easy, but there is a reason she is one of few current writers recognized by the classic country singers.
