First timer from socal

Post by Tweety » Mon Apr 04, 2011 9:16 pm

Greetings Burners!

After unwillingly missing the past 2 burns due to unreliable income, I've managed to get things in order and I will be attempting my first voyage to the dusty flat.

I go by the name Aaron or Tweety and I moved from Austria to California a little over 2 years ago. I've always dabbled in the arts, starting with drawing and painting at first and later moving on to photography, which has been my main creative outlet for the past 5 years. I love the outdoors and go cycling/hiking/camping as often as I can, to me there is nothing more fulfilling than relying on my own knowledge and resources in new environments.

I've attended a couple of mountain / desert parties during my time here and more than anything, it's always the people you meet at these events that make the most impression on you.

I'm approaching burning man with an open mind and heart, without a predetermined idea of what I think or want my first burn to be. I always seek inspiration and I believe there will be plenty to feed off of in a location that resembles a blank canvas, a flat surface waiting for a mob of people to materialize their collective thoughts. That is what has been drawing me to this event for years.

See you on the playa!

Hey there, welcome to eplaya!
Elderberry

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

Hi Tweety! That's a familiar nickname. Looks like you might be camping with people I know!
