Your Gift Ideas for Others
Yes, yes, yes, it's considered poor taste to suggest your creative ideas to others, for them to make for the festival.
There are so many ideas running through our heads, that maybe if they are posted here, some of them will come to life.
How about a bicycle with an ice cream box on it to ride around the playa offering frozen treats. How about a hot dog cart?
Any other unused ideas?

I already have the basket and flexible cooler that fits in it. Wasn't thinking ice cream - more along the lines of frozen Otter Pops.Shambala wrote:Yes, yes, yes, it's considered poor taste to suggest your creative ideas to others, for them to make for the festival.

You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.
Ja, it was walking with you when I saw him!Bounce530 wrote:He was my neighbor...C.f.M. wrote:I saw a bike with a basket on the front with a little fire in it, to toast marshmallows on.
Some practical "gifts" I enjoyed out and about included the aforementioned sashimi, sunscreen, cold water and Jagermeister.

Our daughter graduated from a small private school. Graduating class was like 14 kids. Would you believe that our daughter and another girl had the exact same dress? They were both very, very shocked! What are the odds?
Here is the kicker - my wife was into sewing and our daughter picked out a pattern from patterns that my wife already had. Plus she picked out the material from material that my wife also already had. Now - what are the odds?
BTW - I don't wear the same dress twice

yep nothing fancy, just a metal bike basket on the handlebars. He had a containment tray on the bottom of the basket for ashes and such, he used firewood for fuel. He also had the baskets that hung over the back wheel, one side had skewers and marshmellows, the other side carried the chocolate.
He did not have rubber grips on the handle bars, and wore gloves and goggles while biking around due to heat, embers and smoke though.

What other people think about you is none of your business.
I'm doing "Poopcicles"
Which is really just icey pops to be given out to people waiting in line for a potty.
I'll also be carrying around moisturizing hand sanitizer and sun burn relief spray.
In 2009 I carried the blue sunburn spray around as an after thought and made many people very happy.

God Please, don't make me make myself look like a moron...

I would think a can of sterno would do the same thing with less mess. Or even use a propane torch or single burner stove. Though I'm sure the ambiance of the actual "campfire" was part of the gift.
edit: While I was writing this, mail delivered a package Trish got through eBay. 50 refillable butane lighters with an LED light which is the same color as the lighter. We plan to gift those, small bottles of Chambord and of course all that Retrofrolic has to offer!
I would like to see more ice cream/otterpops kind of an ice cream truck-kinda MV running up and down the streets.
